A popular figural design attributed to French Faisance. Most pieces are painted with either a gent or a lady. Platters are generally painted with both figures. The Blue Ridge shape is most often Clinchfield, but we have seen a few pieces of Brittany painted on Candlewick. Within our experience, this pattern is more difficult to find than French Peasant. Brittany is often found marked with the PV backstamp used on special orders for Peasant Village, a New York distributor.
