County Fair Fruits ~ Green   A series of eight different fruit designs painted on 8.25-inch salad plates, cups, saucers, small square plates, large salad bowl, and salad bowl underplate (also called a chop plate or cake plate). Most commonly painted on the Colonial shape, salad plates and salad bowl with the green edge are ALSO found painted on the Candlewick shape. See bottom of this page for the Avon connection. Fabulous with Sculptured Fruit pitchers! County Fair Green POMEGRANATE and STRAWBERRIES 8.25-Inch Plate - #6308 - Lovely painting, bright shine! Free of cracks, and crazing. A tiny edge chip with 4 barely perceptible pinprick size nicks to the green edge nearby. The dot of green left center is out of place paint. Two glaze pops, slightly brown with age, are found center right near the 3 green berries. Marked with the script logo. Beautifiully painted with bright, shiny glaze. Completely free of cracks and crazing. Turn the plate upside down and look carefully to find one small flat chip (no discoloration) to the back edge - not to be found unless the plate is turned completely upside down. The small square plates painted with the same fruit patterns measure approximately 6.5-inches in diameter. A cup and saucer set was painted to match each of the eight fruit patterns. We recently found a 7.5-inch square plate in the CHERRIES pattern, however, we have not been able to determine whether the other 7 designs were also painted on the 7.5-inch square plate.
