  Grandmothers Garden   |
Pattern #3276
One of the loveliest floral patterns, Grandmothers Garden depicts a fantastic bouquet of garden flowers painted on the Colonial shape in shades of yellow, purple, pink, blue, red, green, and rust. The dot-and-dash border was painted with either aqua blue or true blue. We specify the color of the edge trim in our individual descriptions. Hard-to-find, definitely a must-have! (More info at bottom of this page.)

GRANDMOTHERS GARDEN is one of several Blue Ridge floral patterns with the blue dot-and-dash border. Negatha Peterson, former artist for SPI, told us that the flowers in all of the blue dot-and-dash border designs were painted using a large English floral platter (with the same style border) as a design guide! Since England entered WWII before the USA entered the war, the 3 dots and 3 dashes repeated around the English platter edge could have intentionally been Morse Code for VICTORY.
