If you love pink roses, you will cherish this pattern! Most often found painted on the Colonial shape dinnerware, the pretty roses are accented with green leaves and a rich green trim around the edges. We also sometimes see this pattern painted on the Candlewick shape.Collectors of this pattern know to expect variations in the shades of pink and green used in the painting of the design from one piece to another!
Note: While volunteering for US Fish & Wildlife in North Dakota during the summer of 2008, we discovered that the wildflower PRAIRIE ROSE is the STATE FLOWER of both NORTH DAKOTA and IOWA!

Candlewick Shape ~ PRAIRIE ROSE ~ Colonial Shape Pattern # 3870 was found on the bottom of a Colonial shape round veggie bowl! Larger pieces are painted with three of the pink rose motifs.
